Heron Capital believes that by leveraging our relationships with entrepreneurs and venture colleagues in the life science industry, key institutional leaders and leading corporations, the Fund will take advantage of and invest in the most promising mid and growth stage opportunities coming out of the private sector.

One of the Fund's greatest assets is its Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), whose members represent thought leaders in the fields of interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, orthopedics, neurology and surgery. Not only do these physicians and scientists advise us on a regular basis as a part of our due diligence efforts, but SAB members also avail themselves to the Fund's portfolio companies as well. This investment approach ensures that each portfolio company will have a tailored investment strategy which provides, in addition to capital, the resources needed by that particular company to grow and succeed.

The active management of the Fund's portfolio investments is critical to the success of the Fund. Consequently, we attend regular meetings with the management of each of the portfolio companies, develop a close working relationship with portfolio company management as a value-added advisor, and participate at the board level at each of our portfolio companies. Once an investment is made, we are committed to working in partnership with company management, assisting whenever possible to help the company achieve success.
